The New VCA Stadium also Known as Vidarbha Cricket Association is a cricket stadium in Nagpur city Maharashtra. Nagpur is a Second Capital and third largest city of Maharashtra State after Mumbai, Pune. The vidarbha cricket stadium was developed in 2008 Located in Nagpur. Nagpur is also known as the “Orange City” for being major trade center of orange cultivated in the region. The area of Nagpur district is 9810 km, area proposed for metro region 25 to 40 km, and area around Nagpur Municipal limit is 3780 km. Nagpur is an important city for the Indian armed forces. Maintenance command of Indian Air Force has its current headquarter at Vayusena Nagar in Nagpur. There are other important units such as as the Institute of Military Law and a well-equipped military hospital to care for the health of the soldiers.

History

Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) is Located at Jamtha, Nagpur was built in 2008. VCA has huge capacity of 45000 people or audience to enjoy matches. The first test played at VCA on 6-10 November 2008 between India vs. Australia where India beat Australia by 172 runs. The Aussie spinner Jason Krejza finished with 12 wickets, while Harbhajan Singh claimed seven.

The first ODI Match played at VCA 28 Oct 2009 between India V Australia. The Highest ODI scores Team by India 354/6, India 351/4, and Australia 350/6. And most runs scores by Mahendra Singh Dhoni (243 runs), Sachin Tendulkar (158 runs) and Gautam Gambhir (147runs).

The highest Test scores were by India- 566/8, 558/6 and 441/10. The most runs were scored by Virendar Sehwag(357 runs), Sachin Tendulkar(289 runs) and Hashim Amla(253 runs).
